TriPoint Innovations began with a simple belief: important technology should continue working even when traditional networks do not.

Founded in 2025 by Oklahoma State University engineering students Myles Lozano and Reese Huhnke, TriPoint was created to develop practical products at the intersection of hardware, software, communication, and personal safety. What began as an idea for improving hunter safety has grown into a broader effort to build reliable technology for outdoor and off-grid environments.

The team develops ideas through hands-on engineering, prototyping, programming, field testing, and direct feedback from potential users. Rather than designing products only around theoretical use cases, TriPoint focuses on how technology will perform in the real environments where people depend on it.

How the company started

Myles and Reese recognized a recurring problem.

People often lose the ability to locate and communicate with one another as soon as cellular service becomes unreliable. Traditional phone-based location sharing depends heavily on internet access, while many existing outdoor communication systems are expensive, subscription-based, or limited in the information they provide.

Myles and Reese began developing a system that could combine long-range radio communication, GPS positioning, physical hardware, and a simple digital interface. That concept became Hunter Radar.

The project developed from an early idea into working prototypes, software development, field testing, startup competitions, accelerator participation, and intellectual-property development. TriPoint Innovations was formed to continue developing Hunter Radar and create additional products that improve safety and connectivity in underserved environments.

Beyond Hunter Radar

A platform, not a single product.

Hunter Radar is TriPoint Innovations' first major product, but the company's larger goal is to create a family of practical safety and connectivity technologies. Future development may extend into outdoor recreation, ranching, land management, equipment tracking, search operations, and other environments where reliable communication is difficult.

TriPoint Innovations intends to continue combining physical products, wireless systems, and intuitive software to make advanced technology more accessible and useful.
